Be scam savvy

The scammers are out in force and it's easier than ever for anybody to fall victim to a scam. So it's even more important to have as much information as possible to know what to do and how to protect yourself and your loved ones from getting caught out. ​​​​

All our clients will receive a FREE Anti Scam Pack at sign up, including door stickers and information on how to apply for FREE safety devices supplied by Trading Standards.

We have worked in conjunction with Bill, a long-standing Trading Standard champion, to provide useful hints, tips, advice on the latest scams as well as links to some useful FREE resources. To ensure that our advice stays up-to- date and relevant, additionally Bill will contribute each quarter, to an article within our monthly newsletter.

Free sample scams

Be aware when agreeing to get a free sample of any product/service, that you don't automatically sign up to a costly subscription. Always read the fine-print.

The helpline takes all enquiries on behalf of Trading Standards across England and Wales and will pass your report to the relevant team. Alternatively, if you have been a victim of fraud and lost money please contact your bank and Action Fraud online or call them on 0300 123 2040
